Commentary
This gorgeously colored work is rich in probably every area
of consideration. It depicts a strong man, nude to the waist and barefoot,
at work of turning some ideas over in his head about something. Perhaps
it is a conceptual lilt that we witness the man designing the world in
the year 2000. Flanked by a bull of a deep red color and a faithful donkey,
the strong man considers his position with regard to his work. The figures
of the man and the beasts are drawn with genuine feeling and sensitivity,
in deep rich colors, which gives the work its sincerely positive thrust.
The man is one with the animals as the viewer is drawn to question the
animal's eyes; perhaps the strong man is a leader, in his element designing
a future for the Kyrgz Republic. The subject's calmness of thought is
so focused psychologically which makes this a masterpiece of the 8-12
year-old group.
