Commentary
The beauty of Aaso's abstractly colored piece is truly remarkable.
Here the entire surface of the paper is a kaleidescope of reflected painted
angles; the meaning of the piece is suggested in the colored matrix of
equivalent tones. It is a deeply connected and nearly wet piece. The form
is lightly suggested; it could be a house on the beach at night. In any
event, the suggestion of a delicate and intertwined world, heavy with
beauty. I'd like to see this one in the light. It resembles the later
stained glass work of Paul Klee.
