Commentary

To gaze upon this picture is to look out of a window, perhaps an apartment window, onto a scene of sombre and even holy hues. The buildings are all close together and form a city block that seems grave and melancholy. These bright orange balls, four of them, which must represent communication, are strategically placed in the air. No people are seen, because they are safe at home. But clouds of sadness permeate the feeling of this mood piece. There are thick lines on the road which have an equal direction towards the left or the right. Perhaps this represents the moderate political character of the contemporary Czech Republic.
