Commentary
Primary colors fill the page in this work. It is a completely futuristic
scene of Barbados. In Tobias' world there are only two things: hotels and
art class. The futuristic theme envelopes a world of flying saucers and
crafts, headed by a glowing satellite. The comparatively small people in
the scene are active on skates and skateboards near an autobahn loaded with
racing-type space cars. The infrastructure is so frighteningly logical,
yet there is a balance halfway of play and work images, a cartoon-like reality
similar to the Jetson family's. The complete lack of vegetation makes the
whole place seem metallic and high-tech.
